from C to GC date Sat, Aug 20, 2011 at 7:37 AM subject how to calculate Jim Sinclair's angels I have not been able to locate the 1923 article in the university databases--if anyone has it, or more clear indications of the formula, please let me know. A From http://dont-tread-on.me/james-turks-brilliant-interview-with-jim-sinclair/ James: Thank you. I’d listened to your brilliant presentation here at the GATA conference in London. I’d like to talk to you about it a little bit. I want to focus in on this $1,764 number. How did you come to this $1,764 number on gold? Jim: The angels that I’ve published, the numbers that I’ve suggested and to a large degree been successful with, actually come from a formula that Jesse Livermore used. And he actually used it for new issues, but it applies to gold. It was published in 1923 in The Wall Street Journal, and it’s called the square of the numbers. B From http://www.minyanville.com/businessmarkets/articles/gold-gold-price-precious-metals-gold/8/11/2011/id/36278 In 1923, renowned investor Jesse Livermore wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal called “The Square of the Numbers.” I will save the mathematics of his economic model for another time, but he used it to predict stock movements very successfully. What is of note regarding this model is that gold broke through a key technical area yesterday when it rose above $1,764. C From http://www.zerohedge.com/news/gold-41-hits-record-1761#comment-1541187 Sinclair's 1764 inflection point has been passed. He thinks gold should go exponential now. Square of the numbers theory. http://squareofnine.blogspot.com/ from C to GC date Sat, Aug 20, 2011 at 1:12 PM subject Re: how to calculate Jim Sinclair's angels From https://www.kitcomm.com/showthread.php?p=1462940 Do a google search for "squares." Wiki has a good explanation of it. It's simply squaring integers. The recent $1764 angel was 42X42 or 42 squared. Next angel is 43 squared or $1849. Supposedly early 20th century trader Jesse Livermore used this sequence to predict the movements of newly posted company share prices. The fact that Sinclair put it out there, all the banksters are well aware of each angel. That alone gives them special significance. But we've going through them so quickly since 39 squared it's been all but impossible to brake this train. I don't know if there's any "law" where stocks or commods are dictated by the square of price. The angels are advancing in an odd sequence that started with 1024 [(32 squared)] +65 = angel 1089. Each successive angel has been the [next square plus the] previous add on +2 higher. So 65, 67, 69, ....., 81, 83, 85, .... $1600 was the +79 angel. Add 81 to that for $1689. Then $1764 with +83. Next angel is +85. So each step is about $80-$90 increments. Numisgold
